"My name is Rachel Dankert and  I live in Liberty, MO. You came up in August to teach Liberty Kid's Zone staff how to bring sign language into our programs. I am the Site Director at Liberty Oaks Elementary and I just wanted to fill you in on some things. First and foremost we have 95 kids enrolled in our program at about 80 kids ABSOLUTELY love doing sign languge!! We do sign language as a group from 8:30 til 8:45 and you wouldn't believe how fast they are catching on!! They know their abc's, numbers, animals, school time signs, people, and manners. All together they know about 50 words!! Right now we are learning the pledge of allegiance with the handy dandy sign you gave all of us! Not only do the staff appreciate signing but you wouldn't believe how many notes I have recieved from parents telling me how great we are for doing sign! Also, staff members at Liberty Oaks will pass through the caferteria and be in "awe" that the children are doing so well! they also think it is just wonderful! I wanted to thank you for the books and dvd! I look through the books everyday and I watch your DVD. You have taught me so much, thank you. I am also taking sign language to the next step and next semester I am going to enroll for a sign language class as my foreign language! Thank you so much!!!"

Thanks again for a wonderful workshop. You are passionate about what you do and it shows.

The true pay-off of a successful workshop is when the staff take back the info learned and use it. Consider your workshop a HUGE success! I believe EVERY site has used what they learned in one way or another. We are having our 20 year celebration at each of the sites next week and all of them have been signing songs or stories from their programs. We have all been amazed with how much we retained and how much fun we're having with it.
